SAMVAAD Connect’s ‘Sur Samvaad Sangam’ Brings Together Music, Poetry and Humour in a Memorable Evening in Lucknow, 15 Oct 2026

Lucknow: Upholding its belief that “A Better Society is Built on Better Understanding,” SAMVAAD Connect organised ‘Sur Samvaad Sangam’ at Café The Bookmark, located in Lucknow’s iconic Amir-ud-Daula Library. The evening brought together music, poetry, shayari and humour, with enthusiastic participation from people belonging to diverse professional and creative backgrounds.

The programme opened on a melodious note with a soulful performance by Mr Vivek Arora, a renowned singer from Lucknow. His captivating voice filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and energy from the very beginning. The evening then welcomed Dr Shivani Singh, Deputy Commissioner, CM Yuva Yojana, Government of Uttar Pradesh, whose deeply reflective poem, ‘Main Ki Khoj’ (The Search for the Self), illuminated the gathering. Her profound words touched hearts and encouraged introspection among the audience.

The celebrations continued with Mr Vishnu Dubey, an accomplished actor from the film industry, whose new web series, ‘Pehli Gali Ka Amitabh’, is being released on YouTube today. He was accompanied by veteran performers Mr Sandeep Yadav and Mr Ambreesh Bobby, both recognised names in the world of cinema and theatre. Their presence added a vibrant theatrical and cinematic dimension to the evening.

The next highlight was a musical performance by Mr Shivanshu Mishra, Assistant Commissioner, CM Yuva Yojana, Government of Uttar Pradesh. His songs struck a chord with the audience, who repeatedly called for an encore. The enthusiastic response and continuous requests for ‘one more’ made it difficult for him to leave the stage, turning his performance into one of the evening’s most engaging moments.

Adding a refreshing touch of humour were Gen Z comedy artists Shahrukh and Avijit. Their light-hearted anecdotes and relatable stories filled the gathering with laughter and made the evening even more enjoyable.

The audience included lawyers, teachers, corporate professionals and individuals from several other fields. Their active participation reflected the spirit of the event—bringing together people from different walks of life on a common platform where they could share experiences, appreciate one another’s talents and celebrate creative expression.

On the occasion, Dr Shivani Singh said, “Such platforms give people an opportunity to recognise their talents, express themselves and learn from one another.”

Sharing the vision behind the initiative, SAMVAAD Connect founders Mr Dheeraj Tiwari and Ms Saumya Tiwari emphasised that the organisation aims to go beyond conversations by connecting people, ideas and possibilities through art, dialogue and shared experiences. In the demands of everyday life, people often forget to make time for their own identity, creativity and happiness. Such gatherings offer an opportunity to reconnect with oneself and express one’s individuality without hesitation.

‘Sur Samvaad Sangam’ conveyed a meaningful message: when people from different professions, backgrounds and generations come together to listen, sing, laugh and share, mutual understanding and a sense of belonging grow naturally.

The event was a reflection of SAMVAAD Connect’s core vision: “A Better Society is Built on Better Understanding.” Through music, poetry, humour and meaningful human connections, the evening celebrated the power of dialogue to bring people closer and make life a little more joyful.
