Sonu – The Vision Behind Mero Gwalior: Big Dreams, Strong Ethics at Samvaad Connect, Gwalior.

In the heart of India lies Gwalior, a city of culture, music, heritage, and now, digital storytelling. Among its rising creators is Sonu, the young visionary behind the popular Instagram channel @MeroGwalior. His journey is not just about creating content but about redefining how Gwalior and Madhya Pradesh are seen on digital platforms.
Recently, Samvaad Connect had the chance to converse with Sonu, and his story is nothing short of inspiring.
From Pandemic Uncertainty to Creative Discovery
Like many young students, Sonu faced uncertainty after finishing his 12th grade during the COVID-19 lockdown. While his peers were exploring career options in video editing, Sonu too pursued graduation and began assisting on multiple projects involving shoots, editing, and scripting. These projects gave him hands-on experience and honed his natural creativity.
But his turning point came when one of his clients encouraged him: “You have the quality and creativity—why not try it for yourself?” That spark of confidence pushed Sonu to take a leap of faith. He launched Mero Gwalior, not as just another Instagram page, but as a vision to showcase the culture, tourism, and soul of Gwalior to the world.
The First Big Break – Working with MP Tourism

With clarity of purpose, Sonu started his journey with a strong motive: to collaborate with MP Tourism and contribute to promoting his city and state. Luck favored his hard work—very early in his journey, he got the opportunity to work with MP Tourism itself. That moment changed everything.
From there, there was no looking back. Sonu’s reels and content began resonating with people, not only in Madhya Pradesh but also across India. His work brought alive the charm of Gwalior Fort, the soulful notes of Tansen’s legacy, the grandeur of Jai Vilas Palace, and the hidden gems of MP tourism.
Recognition and Applause
Sonu’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Recently, he was applauded at the MP Tourism Influencers Meet, where his contribution was recognized for authentically showcasing Madhya Pradesh. Adding to his list of achievements, he also received the JD Design Award, further establishing him as a young leader in the creative space.
What stands out about Sonu is not just his success but his mindset. He strongly believes that one should not chase small outputs. Instead, the aim should be big, clear, and long-term. He says, “If your vision is strong, the by-products—money, fame, recognition—will naturally come your way.”
A Word of Caution for the Young Generation
In our conversation, Sonu touched upon an important issue of today’s social media culture. He observed that many young kids are active on Instagram, branding themselves as influencers without proper direction. While creativity at a young age is valuable, without parental guidance and mentorship, it often leads to distractions or even harmful paths.
His advice is clear: “The more we work hard in the early years of our journey, the sweeter the results will be later.” Patience, discipline, and vision are the keys to long-term success.
Fashioning Dreams and Mental Health Together
Beyond tourism and content creation, Sonu’s journey highlights a deeper lesson—the connection between ambition, creativity, and mental health. During the pandemic, many young people struggled with anxiety, uncertainty, and lack of purpose. For Sonu, content creation became not just a career path but a mental anchor.
He points out that having a strong vision reduces stress and anxiety, because it gives clarity of direction. When you focus on building something meaningful, distractions lose their power, and self-confidence grows. In his case, creating reels about Gwalior wasn’t just about showcasing monuments—it was about expressing himself, finding purpose, and strengthening his mental resilience.
Sonu’s journey is proof that creativity can heal, motivate, and build confidence, provided it is rooted in clarity and ethics.
Big Dreams, Strong Ethics – The Way Forward

Today, @MeroGwalior is not just a channel; it is a digital ambassador for Gwalior and Madhya Pradesh tourism. Through vibrant reels, engaging narratives, and ethical storytelling, Sonu is putting his hometown on the map of India’s top digital tourism destinations.
His story is an inspiration for every youth who feels lost in the noise of social media. Sonu reminds us that with big dreams, strong ethics, and consistent hard work, success is not just possible—it is inevitable.
At Samvaad Connect, we applaud Sonu’s journey and vision. His work is a reminder that when passion meets purpose, it not only transforms a career but also contributes to the mental and cultural well-being of society.
